This is a hard question because I've never NOT wanted to write. If I don't write my brain can't focus on anything else. I have to. So, I guess sanity is my inspiration? I write so I can function enough to do other things lol.

Rewrite sentences that I've already written. It's easier to write when you have momentum. Following that, I usually stop writing in the middle of a scene where I know what will happen next instead of at the end of it -- so when I start back up again, I already know where to go with things.

I've actually been working on this idea for a while. I had an interesting relationship in high school and when things inevitably ended, I wondered what it would be like when we saw each other in the future. Would things spark between us again or would nothing happen and we'd pass each other on the street as complete strangers? I nurtured that idea and it grew into this book!
