Wiss Auguste Write, write, write! The day you stop writing is the day you lose your true self.

Wiss Auguste I am currently working my second novel, I Erzulie. It’s a tale about a female heroine, semi-god and her impact on the Haitian Revolution that lead to the abolition of Slavery in Haiti.

Wiss Auguste The idea originated from a conversation I had with a good friend of mine. She had dealt with some personal issues in the past and she wanted me to write a poem about her issues. I started writing the poem and it didn’t feel right. I felt limited. When I showed her the poem, I told her ‘I could write an entire book about these issues.” She said ‘well, do it then”. Two years and a half later, The Illusions Of Hope was published
