Shami Stovall Hello, Keith! The short answer: you will see Volke fight someone in the Astra Academy series (but I can't say who!) If you just want to see "what if" fights, I post short stories on my Patreon! One of which was Volke vs Kallikore and the elder phoniex dragon! o.o (Brian Wiggins also came back to do the audio for that short story!) - however, if you wait for the next book, I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised! <3

Shami Stovall Hello there! I'm so glad you've enjoyed Mimic Arcanist. That means the world! As for your question: the fate of all the other god-arcanists will be revealed in the series, so don't worry! You will soon find out. Abyssal Arcanist will hit the shelves hopefully in a few months. <3

Shami Stovall Book 2 will 100% answer this question! I hope you enjoy it, and someone's visit to the Academy o.o
Shami Stovall Hey there! Sorry for the late reply. As for your question, I do ave a sequel series (Astra Academy) for more good times in the world! <3
Shami Stovall Yes, it will! I'm super sorry, it's just been delayed (for a variety of reasons) but I'm hoping it'll hit the shelf soon! <3

Shami Stovall Hey there! Sorry about that - hopefully it was at least an interesting place to leave off on? o.o (And I'm hoping for 7-8 books in total, with a sequel series afterward.) Hopefully you continue to enjoy!
Shami Stovall Yes there is! On my blog, which you can find here: https://sastovallauthor.com/2021/08/0...

Shami Stovall Hey there, William! Volke will have a new fighting style, but he'll retain some of the old style as well. I don't want spoil what his new powers will be! And Zelfree (without a true form mimic) cannot copy the powers of the god creatures. However, his chimera aura does give him access to some interesting and powerful combinations! And the romance is the same as the powers, lol - you'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully that answers all your questions, but if it didn't, go ahead and ask away!

Shami Stovall Hello there! To answer your questions: Volke's shield and sword are still with him. As for the story decision of Luthair's death - it completed his character arc. He failed to save Mathis, but he redeemed himself in the end by saving Volke no matter the cost. As for Volke's mother - it's always more interesting/dramatic to see individuals with personal connects to the main characters. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Shami Stovall Hey Jim! I'm hoping the 6th book will be out in July! Still working on it though, lol
Shami Stovall My inspiration books are: Stranger in a Strange Land, Game of Thrones (the first book in the series, the rest aren't much of an inspiration), Daughter of Blood, Starship Troopers, Island of the Blue Dolphins, The Postman, and Ender's Game. All of these books have a special place in my heart, and really got me thinking about worlds/places outside of my life and reality.

And Twilight gets an honorable mention. I read that book and thought "well, I could do this!" and it's been a motivating factor ever sense, lol

Shami Stovall I'm hoping Warlord Arcanist will be released in May or June! IN the meantime, I'll be having a short story collection come out that has stories from the viewpoints of other characters (besides Volke!) including the villains. Hopefully you look out for that! The runestones will be answered in the short story collection, and the resurrection question may or may not be a spoiler, so I can't answer it yet!
Shami Stovall Yes! I'm currently half-way through the sequel, Star Marque Vendetta. My other series, the Frith Chronicles, took off in popularity, which is why I write the Star Marque sequel a little slower, but it's one of my favorite books I've ever written, so I definitely want to continue Demarco's tale!
Shami Stovall Hello there, Abby! My novels in the Frith Chonicles (Knightmare Arcanist, Dread Pirate Arcanist, etc.) are classified as YA fantasy, and are comparable to "How to Train Your Dragon" or "Percy Jackson." No sex! They were written with the intent to be read by people 12 years of age and up.

My series "The Sorcerers of Verdun" are military fantasy, and while they are classified for adults, they also have no sex or nudity. They do deal with World War I, however.

My science fiction novel, "Star Marque Rising" is an adult book with sexuality and violence and wouldn't be recommended for a younger reader.

I hope that helped!
Shami Stovall If I need inspiration, I like to listen to thematic lyric-less music, especially if it contains violins (or if it's from a video game OST!) I listen to the music and go for a walk. It gets my creativity going, and once I'm done with my walk, I'm ready to do another round of writing!
Shami Stovall Keep writing! If you love it, don't quit. On average it takes 10,000 hours of practice to get good at something. Spend those 10,000 hours writing things--it might be bad in the beginning, but you'll improve. And never stop improving.
Shami Stovall I've read my entire life. I loved the escapism of it--going to new worlds and far off places. I wanted to create my own and be part of the creative community.
