Where did you get the idea for Pembroke Palace? Is it based on the castle in Wales or another estate in the UK? Your details are beautiful! PS Thank you for using the wonderful Rosalyn Landor as your narrator in many books!!
Julianne MacLean Hi Nancy! Pembroke Palace was inspired by Blenheim Palace in England. I spent a year living in London and we visited twice! And I agree that Rosalyn Landor is wonderful. I'm so happy to have her for so many of my books.

This is a two-part question. When it comes to your Recency-era novels, do you seek out certain audiobook narrators such as Rosalyn Landor? She's amazing! Also, will the rest of the American Heiresses Series be available on audiobook? Thank you!!!
Julianne MacLean Hello! Yes, I have always requested Rosalyn Landor as my narrator because you are right, she is amazing. And another yes… The rest of the American Heiress series is currently in production for audio. Would you consider a sequel? I would love it!
Julianne MacLean Hi Lisa - which book would like to see a sequel to? (My Color of Heaven series has 13 books, and each book is a sequel to the one before, if that makes sense.)

Julianne MacLean Hi! No one has approached me about a TV series or movie, but I would LOVE to see that happen!

Will there be a follow up book to These Tangled Vines? I enjoyed it so much and am wondering if Fiona ever found love in Italy.
Julianne MacLean Hi there! I originally wrote the book as a standalone, and I don't have plans for a follow up book at the moment, but if I hear from enough readers who want one, it's always a possibility!

I don't have a question? - I just wanted you to know that I loved A Fire Sparkling so much - I can't explain in words but it was just so good and was very emotionally challenging for me - I have never seen movies about World War II that involve the atrocities committed because it upsets me so much - but your book was amazing.

Is there any way "The Mistress Diaries" could be in Kindle form? I would like to buy it and it's much easier for me to do so in Kindle form.
Julianne MacLean Hi Annalice! It will be available on the Kindle soon. The book was out of print, so the publishing rights were recently reverted to me from Harper Collins. I am now working on reissuing all of my historicals with new Kindle editions. I am aiming for early July 2020. If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Julianne MacLean I would enter a Mary Balogh historical romance and be besties with the heroine, so I could be part of a deep, emotional romance in the Regency era, and be there with her to celebrate her happy ending. ( I wouldn't want to be the heroine myself, because I already have the best husband in the world, right here in the present day :))

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Julianne MacLean My TBR pile is overflowing! I just finished THE CIRCLE by Dave Eggers, and next up I'll be reading BIG LITTLE LIES by Liane Moriarty. After that, I'll dig into Kristan Higgins ON SECOND THOUGHT, and in no particular order, the pile includes: HENRY'S SISTERS by Cathy Lamb, THE MATCHMAKER by Erin Hilderbrand, DISTANT SHORES and NIGHT ROAD by Kristin Hannah, THE BEACH HOUSE by Mary Alice Monroe, I LET YOU GO by Clare Mackintosh, LOOK AGAIN by Lisa Scottoline. And I always have at least one Danielle Steel novel waiting in the wings. I don't know if I'll get through all these books this summer, as I have to start writing a new one soon, but I'm going to have fun trying!

Do the "The Color Of ......" - 'Series' need to be read in order or are all of these books Stand Alones?
Julianne MacLean Hi Linda - you can jump into the series anywhere and start with any book, as each book stands on its own as a separate and complete story. But it's nice if you read the whole series in order, as many of the books are about a character from a previous book, so a few of the books have some back story in the previous novel. But again, you don't necessarily have to read the previous novel to "get" the current one you're reading. I made sure each story is its own thing.
