Hi! I'm looking to buy Vessel of Starfire, but all the listings I've found for it were unavailable. I've looked on Thalia, amazon.de, E-bay and Thriftbooks and haven't been able to find any option to buy it. Is the book out of print/unavailable in Germany? Do you have any information on this?
Allison Carr Waechter The series is currently down for some additional editing in prep for Book 3 next year. We should have it back up in late November.

Hope you're working on Bk #2 of The Immortal Orders. Just bought Bk #1 & anticipate going stright for #2... Is there going to be a book #2? And when can we anticipate it?
Allison Carr Waechter I am staring at its ghostly drafty shell right at this very moment, in fact! It's on track to release this fall. The exact dates should be nailed down in June/July but we're shooting for an early October release, with Book 3 coming out in very early 2023! Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Allison Carr Waechter Miyala showed up in my head one day. All she said was, "My sister thinks she's the chosen one, but she's dead wrong." We sat down together and had a long, long talk.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Allison Carr Waechter Don't listen to the "real writers write every day people." I've written almost six books now and I've NEVER written every single day. That's just not possible for my brain.

Write when you can, learn to nuture your muse, dream a lot, think about your characters and your story all the time, and then get back to the keyboard whenever you make it there.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Allison Carr Waechter It lets me inhabit my true form as a divine being. (I kid, I kid... or do I?)

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Allison Carr Waechter I start by trying to figure out WHY I have writer's block. Sometimes there's a problem I need to solve in my creative process and solving fixes the block. If it's just a bit of a slump, I rest. I read something, watch something lovely, work on other projects, etc. After that, I have a process that is WAY too long for this little box.

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Allison Carr Waechter Probably to Lyra's Oxford (His Dark Materials). I'd probably settle down with my snow leopard daemon and teach literature.
