As I look back, I can't really spot any mysteries, per se. I have a really great life. When I write, the stories just come to me. The best I can do is have a generalized idea, but usually, the story follows it's own path, and just hang on to keep from falling off. Most of my prior books have been epic fantasy, so I've been trying to diversify into other genres. I've got a romance in the publisher queue, and some mysteries among the latest projects. I hope I've answered the question to your satisfaction.

Going to a past Michigan-Michigan St football game where my wife couldn't find her ticket. Miraculously, there was a ticket lying on the ground, so it got us in the stadium.

I spend my time writing, so I don't read other books at this time. I did like Michael Crichton.

Believe in yourself and your goals. Don't late naysayers discourage you from your work. In some cases, college writing courses can help.

I usually have two or three books going at a time. Currently, I have my first romance book, but it's a complex story with complex characters and issues. I also have another epic fantasy which might be one of my best.

Hard to answer, I sit down at the terminal and the stories just start flowing. In this case I wanted to vary in genre from my usual epic fantasy books. I was in the US Army so I had military experiences.
