Wow, I should really check this more often . Sorry about that. And yes, I'm still working on book 2, I've just got other projects distracting me at the moment. I'll do my best to get it done relatively quickly.

I listen to music, watch Netflix, and read other people's work. Sometimes a line in a song gets me pumped to write, and sometimes a scene from a show, movie, or novel will make me think "How could I incorporate this feeling into my own work?"
Most of the time, however, I have to make my own inspiration. If I sat around waiting to be "inspired" by something else, I don't think I'd ever get anything done. So whenever I have downtime I think about my story, and how I can improve it.
It gets difficult, sometimes, but I think it's worth the effort.

Don't let a perceived "lack of talent" discourage you from writing. If you love writing, then write. Even if you don't publish it, and end up scraping a hundred ideas before you find one you love. The very act of putting words to paper, (Or Microsoft Word, in my case.) ensures that you are on the path to getting better. I am a much better writer now than I was a few years ago, and I'm still getting better with time. And if I can do it, anyone can.

I am currently working on the second book in the "I'm the bad guy!?" series, as well as another novel that I plan to publish. Both of which should be out later this year. (Hopefully)
