Azriel Hope The Fall of Arcades was inspired by the cover art. :) I saw the art in a premade online book shop and the story just came to me. I sat on a beach in Mexico and drafted the entire book in one day. The rest of the stories in the series grew from the characters and in the last book, the one I'm writing now...I was like...seriously? Did that just happen? Really? I shocked myself and the idea just came, I think, honestly, the characters begin to exist at some point and the story grows from them.

With Desdemona, it was a bad dream :) and it is seriously cool and messed up and beautiful.

The Lovely is a tribute to a person who changed my life...

The Chronicles of Light came from working at as a barista at a tea house years ago where some very funky sh!t happened.

The Mother...well it's an amazing story about my own mom's murder and all the mothers who are involved, including the "mother" who took her life.

I have one other series I'm starting next year called The Tara Strain and its a very strange and eerie yet compelling take on a vampire romance that just got in my brain and wouldn't leave me alone....so it's going to be a story and it's a doozy let me tell you.
Azriel Hope I often listen to music, download pictures that inspire the story from the internet, I change my place...I listen. I meditate, I just let it flow....I get stories from everywhere and sometimes I have no idea exactly where they came from, but I love that I'm as fascinated and excited to see what happens as my readers are.
Azriel Hope I am almost finished with the third book in the Fallen Angel Immortal Romance Series. The third book (I think) will be the last book in the trilogy that marks the first part of the series of stories. Then I will pick up the stories again with the next generation of characters and yet since they are immortal, the first series characters will there but not as prominently.

I am writing a stand-alone called Desdemona :) It's going to be amazing...I love this story so so so much. Epic, dark, sexy...and poignant.

I am ghostwriting a Royal Romance :)

I am working on my YA trilogy The Chronicles of Light which will be incredible!!! and I'm so excited that this story is finally going to be told.

And finally, another YA called The Lovely which is contemporary, beautiful and tragic.

....a I'm writing a Christmas movie for Hallmark with a writing partner.

Next year I'll finish my first adult contemporary novel The Mother...
Azriel Hope Don't let anything stop you from just getting your story out of you. Just put it down on paper, then when it's there, then you can be more critical of your work. I find that a lot of writers just stop cause they are daunted by the task, but really its easy...just let it flow. That being said, write about what you love. If you write stuff you're not that into, trust me your readers aren't going to be that into it either.
Azriel Hope EVERYTHING!!!! Seriously, you are God of your universe. If your life isn't going the way you want it, write a better life for your characters. Everything is a story. You will never run out of ideas, it is a playground, a haunted house, a fairyland, a fiery inferno of hell...life is anything, everything and sometimes nothing and it's so fun to play in those and all the other spaces your mind creates.
Azriel Hope I don't :) meaning I can't have writer's block, I have too much to write. I write for a living, write for myself and write to write...I have to write. So in order to reorder my thoughts so I can continue writing without blocking, I have a few projects always going at once. I stop and play solitaire to clear my mind, then I meditate and just dive back in....I write to the end. I don't edit at all. I plan, but I don't edit, I just go go go...and when I'm done, I return to the work and start sculpting.
Azriel Hope The room was dark and cold, the air smelled like rot and burning bodies, the blackness stole my eyesight as hot breath fanned across my neck. "I finally found you," he said, "welcome home." (haha, I might just write a book about it.)
Azriel Hope I'd go to the Cirque in The Rise of a King, to the wishing tree and see my mom again. :) That would be amazing. I think I'd love the Cirque of Marcopia as it's a fairyland that seems so whimsical and magical.
