Hi, LeAnn! Devil in the Details is technically book 2 of my Quentin Security Series. It begins with The Devil You Know (Blake and Victoria), then moves to Devil in the Details (Xander and Lydia). #3, Devil in Disguise (Gavin and Kate), is coming in December. I hope you like them!

Caffeine. No, seriously, there's no cure for it, or at least none that I've found yet. Although I make an attempt to write at least a little bit every day (whether it's jotting down ideas for new stuff or editing some existing), I try not to force it. I can tell already that my writing is improving, and it seems to flow a little easier when I just let the characters tell me their story instead of me trying to drag it out of them. Sounds crazy, I know. Nothing that I haven't heard from my husband as I sit on the couch and talk to my characters like they're real, live human beings... :)

I'm kind of between 3 different books at the moment - 2 are part of my Quentin Security Series (Which is led off by The Devil You Know). They've kind of been put on the back burner because an idea for another standalone popped into my head a few weeks back and refuses to let go. It's a second chance at love story, with a dash of suspense.

The opening chapter of The Devil You Know is actually (loosely) based on true events that happened not far from where I live. I know the woman that survived the trauma and I've always admired her - So, naturally, I wanted to incorporate her into one of my books. I got the idea last fall as I was driving past the Tuscarawas River and she popped into my mind. I got to thinking of how incredibly strong and brave she was and I started jotting down ideas... and it just took off. Though the story is entirely fictional, there is some truth to it
