Tony Del Degan Small things trigger inspiration for me. Sometimes it can be something as insignificant as a color or a sound. All of my best ideas have just appeared out of nothing, you just have to wait. Rushing is never advisable; you should never force an idea. It will end up as a messy, malformed ruination.
Tony Del Degan Just start. If you want to write a book and you have an idea, then write the book. You will never accomplish anything by pondering endlessly. Your first drafts are going to be terrible, you will hate every word that you write, but if you continue, you will eventually reach the end, and you will be a different person entirely.
Tony Del Degan Take a break, focus on something else, but keep the problem in your mind. Work on thinking about it, running it multiple ways, almost like a film scene; eventually, I find it just comes to you. If not, try to discuss it with someone. That is the best way to find a quick solution, to get inspired, or to hear feedback on ideas you are thinking of.
