Hi Lynn! Yes! The manuscript is finished and with my critique partners for feedback now. I hope to have it out for you by then end of March. Remy and Laurence are on page quite often, but the second books is the love story of Laurence's sire Valeri and his new fledgling Elias as the four of them journey north to seek a cure for Mahu, who is dying of an aging sickness.

Hi Miranda! Thanks for asking. After reading my first few vampire novels I knew right away that I wanted to write them, but it took twenty years of just casually thinking I ought to sit down and do it before I actually sat down and did it! Now there's no turning back. Vampire stories forever!

Oh wow. I don't know? I like everything about being a writer. Maybe dreaming up new story ideas? I really love that part of it.
I can tell you the worst part. Writing the blurb. It's torture!

I'm doing one last round of self-edits to Forbidden Need, the third book in my series signed with Ninestar Press, before my editor makes her first pass. I'm about 3/4s through. When I hand it off, I'll go back to my WIP which is a standalone mm paranormal romance. I'm only one chapter deep, but the entire novel is plotted and I can't wait to write it! I intend to self-publish it.

I have a book coming out on May 18th called Forbidden Love. The idea came as I was writing its predecessor, Forbidden Bond. I knew I wanted to write the type of series where each book is a standalone, but subsequent books follow characters in the same universe. As I wrote the side characters of Nathan (a werewolf injured at toward then end of book one) and Ben (the vampire doctor on call), the two of them starting making googley-eyes at each other, and I knew their story would have to be next.
My original intention was to write Samuel's story as the second book (the vampire interrogator from book one) but Nathan and Ben demanded to be heard, and that worked out best because Samuel is a prominent side character in their story and writing it really got be jazzed to feature him as the lead in book three (which comes out in September).

Usually there's a particular scene that comes to me first and the rest of the story is built around that. I daydream about it until the ideas are flowing, then I usually start jotting stuff down.
Reading also helps. Reading a good book makes me want to write a good book!

Definitely keep going! If you have a story to tell, by all means, tell it. Someone out there is going to be so stoked to read it one day, so get it all out!

Often I just accept it and work on other things until I want to write again. The desire to write always comes back. If I need to push through, the two things that help most are long walks and books on writing. Both tend to get the creative side of my brain ticking again.
