T. Atkins My book The Edge of Discontent is loosely based on real events. Events that I always felt would be a great story to tell. Which is why it took me over a year and a half to write and another year to write the ending.
T. Atkins I suppose the mystery of why my father knowingly stayed out of my life when I was a child when he knew I was in desperate need of being saved.
T. Atkins Right now I am currently reading The Name of Red by Beena Khan and If It Bleeds by Stephen King.
T. Atkins The idea for a new book usually comes to me when I wake up. Whenever this happens, I have to get it down, whether it's on paper on in Word.
T. Atkins I try to envision my story as if it were a movie and think about what would happen next. If that doesn't help, I step away from my writing for a bit. Sometimes I pick up a book or I call a friend who helps me to bounce ideas around until one sticks.
T. Atkins The same reasons I love writing are the same reasons I love reading. I am able to remove myself from the real world and lose myself in one made up of fantasy which most of the time, is far more exciting. Or if the real world is a bit overwhelming, I can block out what's happening around me.
T. Atkins I am currently working on a novel entitled Edge of Discontent. We follow the life of disenchanted housewife Trudy who finds herself drawn to an ex-coworker Matt, who has returned to town and has set his sights on Trudy.
