Libby Hubscher Violet and Sam are 34. Dez is also in his early 30s. :) Hope you have a great day too!
Libby Hubscher Daydreaming is a legit part of my job!
Libby Hubscher This is sort of cheating since I'm answering this in the middle of summer and deep into my TBR pile...but my list is teeming with love stories:
Beach Read by Emily Henry (was wonderful and funny and moving)
Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert (totally hilarious with fantastic voice and oh so hot)
What You Wish For by Katherine Center (everything she writes is gold), Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson (next up for me and I could not be more excited)
The Boyfriend Project (Just starting, but the bond between the women in this book is fab and I love the concept and writing)
Sex and Vanity (Kevin Kwan takes on one of my favorite books, um yes, please!)
Not Like The Movies by Kerry Winfrey (I want to laugh, cry, and swoon, and I've heard this book delivers on all counts)
Libby Hubscher I am currently working on my second book, an untitled project for Berkley. I'll share more soon! :)
Libby Hubscher I find I'm most inspired when I am alone with my thoughts. Generally, that's when everyone else in my house is asleep. It's a very good thing that I am a night owl.
Libby Hubscher Since writing is my job (both as a novelist and in my day job), I don't allow myself to get blocked. I just power through. For me, what works best is to find a different part of the story that feels more natural and start from there. Usually that's enough to get moving again. I also give myself permission to write something bad, knowing that once my head is in a better space and I'm feeling inspired again, I can make it right.
Libby Hubscher To me, I think the most important attributes a writer can have is pure love of writing and absolute persistence. The amount of rejection and failure that a writer faces is perhaps unparalleled (though, coming from a scientific research, I can say maybe that's not entirely true). I think as long as you love what you do, you keep an open mind and use every failure as an opportunity to learn, and you never give up, then you will succeed. Best of luck!!
