My ideas come from everything around me. I tend to magnify issues or topics that come up in my own life and try and push them to the limit. On a day to day basis, sugar is generally what inspires me to sit down at my desk and get going. More often than not, once I start, I don't want to stop.

Creating new worlds... and making sure that characters get what they deserve! The hot chocolate I drink on tap while I'm working is pretty good too...

Never give up! I know it's a cliche but it's a cliche for a reason. There have been so many points where I've wanted to stop writing because I worried what I was doing wasn't good enough (I have a whole abandoned book in a file on my computer somewhere but that's - quite literally - another story!). Keep going because the more you write the better you get.

I'm currently doing the edits for my second book - working title "The Reunion" before they go to the my editor. My amazing agent came up with a long list of things I could improve on before submitting so I'm diligently working my way through them and trying to stop thinking about my idea for Book 3!

I got the idea from a friendship I had as a teenager! That said, it wasn't just that one friendship that made me want to write about toxicity between women; it was so many different relationships around me. While I'm lucky to have some really amazing friends, I also see women trying to put each other down and engage in one-upmanship over everything from their children to their exercise regimes. There seemed so much to write about!
