M.C. Clay I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this, Ava! I know we've already messaged about this so you know the answer is YES! :)
M.C. Clay When I was growing up, we would go visit my grandmother every so often. She lived on this dirt road with no immediate neighbors. If you went past her house, further down the road, it would start curving so you could no longer see what was up ahead. The sides of the road were all grown up with trees and weeds and there was this old, dilapidated barn that sat right in the curve. My siblings and cousins used to say that there was a crazy old man that lived at the end of the road and if he caught you on his property, he would kill you. We were always too terrified to go any further than the old barn. On one occasion, we started hearing wild barking like you would expect from rabid dogs, and on another occasion we heard a gunshot. Both times, we turned and ran as fast as we could to get back to my grandmother's house. Looking back, these things could easily be explained, but I think I could make a very interesting thriller/mystery out of it. Very "House at the End of the Street" meets "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" or something like that.
M.C. Clay I dropped my phone in the bedroom while video chatting with my mother.

As I pick up the phone, I see a look of horror on her face as she sends me a text that reads, "Don't scream, there is a man under your bed."
M.C. Clay I would love to travel to either Hogwarts (to learn to ride a broom and brew potions, obviously) or to Norta, Victoria Aveyard's world in Red Queen. I would probably just geek out entirely seeing all of the places I imagined in my head.
M.C. Clay Since this summer is over, I will just list a few books that are next on my ever-growing list of books to read.

1. A Darker Shade of Magic series by V. E. Schwab
2. And I Darken Trilogy by Kiersten White
3. King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo
M.C. Clay I try to deal with it calmly. I set aside what I'm working on, and wait for inspiration to hit again.
M.C. Clay Freedom to create and express myself how I want to. Creating a story from start to finish, and sharing it with readers.
M.C. Clay Never give up. It took me around two years of writing, re-writing, scrapping, re-working, and revision to get my book where I wanted it to be.
M.C. Clay I am currently working on the third installment of the Nokturn Rising series, as well as a couple of untitled side projects.
M.C. Clay I like to be outdoors and enjoying peace and quiet, but sometimes I like to listen to music to get into certain emotional states when writing.
M.C. Clay It came to me in a mashup of ideas and genres that I love. I started thinking about all of the things I would like to see in characters and storylines, that I usually miss when reading.
