Cleo Collins A note was slid from under door with the words "Get out; it's coming," written on it. I had just stepped outside when I realized the note had come from the closet.
Cleo Collins I'd go to Camp Half-Blood from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, and The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan. There, I would hang out with Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Piper, and Nico. I would *hopefully* be claimed by Athena and then get a quest with the seven heroes of Olympus, Nico, and Reyna that I would miraculously survive.
Cleo Collins Well, it depends. I have two types of writers block. Type A is when I have the ideas, but I don't have the motivation. Type B is when I have the motivation, but I don't have the ideas. With Type A, I sit down and force myself to write, and then later, I go through and rewrite so that the quality is better. For Type B, I mainly just complain about not being able to write whatever it is until I come up with an idea.
Cleo Collins My advice is to write about what you like. If you think you'll find a topic you're enthusiastic boring in a few months, then DO NOT write about it. If you don't want to be writing, the quality of your work will drop. Other than that, go for it! Talk to some of your favorite authors for advice or motivation.
Cleo Collins I'm working on the second book in The Salus Records.
Cleo Collins I've always loved writing, so it isn't hard to motivate myself. I just have to sit down, turn on my writing music, and start typing!
Cleo Collins I got the idea for Song of the Traitor while I was conditioning for volleyball. A song was playing (I can't remember what it was), and it fueled me with adrenaline. That's where I got the idea for Anika's Imperium. Everything else just flowed from that!
