Jeremy Blachman I started as a blogger while I was in law school, and the chance to get words in front of readers as soon as I'd written them, to build a connection with readers, to develop a voice and a style... all of that was so helpful in eventually transitioning to longer-form projects like novels. I recommend aspiring writers start a blog -- about anything at all -- and even if they only have a handful of readers, use it as a way to force daily writing and start to develop material.
Jeremy Blachman Aside from promoting The Curve, I'm working on a pilot script for a potential TV adaptation of the book as well as short humor pieces, some ghostwriting and editing gigs, and a new project about parenting that I've just started (my wife and I have a two-and-a-half-year old son).
Jeremy Blachman Cameron Stracher approached me with an early version of the book, which was called The Socratic Method at the time. He had read my first book, Anonymous Lawyer -- and I had read much of his work -- and he thought this might be a fun project we could collaborate on, each bringing our own experiences and writing styles to it. We ended up keeping many of his original characters but reworking the story and starting the writing fresh, alternating chapter drafts between us and trading pages back and forth until we were both happy with the final outcome.
