Kathleen J. Robison Set a word count and write every day! Wheter it's one-hundred or two-thousand (my goal). Write, write, write! And finish the book! Then join a critique group. Public Libraries all have them. Keep visiting till you find one that fits. My sister gave me that advice, and it's why I'm published! I'm still with one of the first groups I visited. You'll learn so much from others as well as the moderators who want you to succeed!
Kathleen J. Robison My mother's experience in WWII Okinawa. She was one of one-third of the civilians that survived that devastating four-month battle on the island
Kathleen J. Robison Shattered Guilt is in edit with my publisher now. The first in a series of seven books. It takes place in a small southern town. I can’t say too much right now, but it’s a suspenseful romance involving a single-mother with a teenager and the local Pastor, a handsome widower. I love the struggles that keep them apart and the how the delightful characters of Bay Town band together in a harrowing trial affecting all of them.
Kathleen J. Robison I am blessed with discipline, so I write whether I feel like it or not, but mostly, stories flood my brain! I used to put myself to sleep creating them in
my head. Also, long hours of commuting to my son’s college baseball games lent itself to plenty of creative thinking while listening to the radio. Most importantly, I want to communicate that living a life devoted to God and trusting Him are the key to making it in this world and the next! And I’m not talking success, wealth and prosperity, but grace, truth and love for His glory.
Kathleen J. Robison I love Dan Fogleberg’a song, Same Old Lang Sang. It’s on my
playlist and every time I heard it, I thought what a sweet, clean story it would make. I’ve written many novels, (the first due for release in June 16,2021!), but shorter works are not my forte. I wanted to offer a short book for my friends and readers and Essential Ingredients was born. I like suspenseful romance, so those elements got woven in and a good friend has fostered and adopted many children, so she helped me when the story took that direction.
Kathleen J. Robison Although I do t really read this genre, I’d love to visit The Shire from the Hobbit. What a beautiful, magical place. Of course I’d love to visit during a festival or celebration!😉
Kathleen J. Robison I have so many books in my list, I do t distinguish the time of year. Maybe, I’ll read some of Chautona Havig’s beach reads.
