Stephen Franks Hi Melisende - thanks for the recommendation. I have never read this series - which one is first?
Stephen Franks "Right, Dr Phillips, this one lost both her legs when they had to cut her out of the wreckage; her name is..."
"Mary. Her name is Mary Phillips"
Stephen Franks I spend time doing something other than writing.

But so far, I've been fortunate enough to largely avoid the issue. In fact, I find the most significant problem is not having enough time (and finger-speed) to translate my thoughts onto paper when the ideas come to me.
Stephen Franks Getting to bring characters to life. It is a genuine joy for me to receive feedback from people who empathise with or associate themselves with one of my protagonists. It makes them real.....!
Stephen Franks Don't listen to naysayers. If you have a story to tell - tell it.
Stephen Franks The new book - which will probably be called 'Sanctuary' is in draft form. I hope to have it published in Summer 2021.

Stephen Franks The Milan Contract was borne out of a simple desire to tell a story that I had carried around in my head for a number of years. The tale, in much the same form that it is in now, came to me as I stood waiting for a taxi outside a Milanese hotel (it is not called the Napoli) on a sunny Sunday morning some twenty years ago. Indeed, the sights and sounds described in the opening chapter accurately reflect my memories of that day except of course, for the dramatic conclusion.
