Yes I am based in Dorset! I started my own publishing company after being disillusioned with the writing industry....

Loved Gary Oldman in 'Tinker, Tailor...' so I will look out for it. And thanks for your kind comments about my debut novel. The next book is about one-third written - based on the reviews to date, I've decided to write another tale with Raffy Conza as the main character. He seems to have made a decent impression so I think we will have a few escapades together....

I spend time doing something other than writing.
But so far, I've been fortunate enough to largely avoid the issue. In fact, I find the most significant problem is not having enough time (and finger-speed) to translate my thoughts onto paper when the ideas come to me.

Getting to bring characters to life. It is a genuine joy for me to receive feedback from people who empathise with or associate themselves with one of my protagonists. It makes them real.....!

The Milan Contract was borne out of a simple desire to tell a story that I had carried around in my head for a number of years. The tale, in much the same form that it is in now, came to me as I stood waiting for a taxi outside a Milanese hotel (it is not called the Napoli) on a sunny Sunday morning some twenty years ago. Indeed, the sights and sounds described in the opening chapter accurately reflect my memories of that day except of course, for the dramatic conclusion.
