L. Aquila Mystery? Well, my life is not that interesting but if I had to come up with a plot on the spot it would be when I was in middle school and I met my husband, we dated for a year and then parted ways.
We dated other people for years and then got back together in my 20's.
I would write about all the drama, hanging out with the wrong crowd for a little bit. I lost myself for a while but eventually bounced back.
I lived on my own when I was seventeen and it was really hard.
I went through struggles and a lifetime of worry at such a young age.
Finally, when my husband and I reunited, I have to say that he saved me in more ways than one. Now, we own a successful fish market in Rhode Island and I get to live out my dream as a writer.
L. Aquila I am working on a paranormal romance. It started off as a traditional romantic suspense then I added some spirits in the mix. A seventeen year old girl names Layla lost her parents then had to move in with her aunt. She has seen shadows her entire life but then as she gets older they appear right before her eyes.
Layla tries to figure out who was responsible for her parent´s murders.
Of course there is romance. I will always have romance in my books. I am 52,000 words in so far. This may end up being a series, we will have to wait and see.
L. Aquila My advice is if you really believe in the story you are writing, keep going. We all have been at the point where the self doubt creeps in and makes you take a couple of step backs. Go forward instead because someone out there will like your story.
L. Aquila The best thing about being a writer is being able to put all your thoughts and ideas on paper then people reading it and loving it.
L. Aquila It was an actual dream. I woke up at 3 am and started writing it down. I had a dream that I was Lexi, the main character in the book and I walked into a restaurant only to find my real husband eating at a table with some random woman and my children seven years older.
I can still remember the pain I felt in the dream and how I wanted to know more... like why did that happened?
For eight months I wrote from that point on. I wrote like I was really Lexi and just what if that really happened to me and what I would do?
Then I was like...hey let me add a villain, another hot guy and some drama drama and more drama.
Then also sexy OMG there has to be sexy scenes to write a romance novel! That was the best to write. I love any book that has romance, if it does not then I tend to bypass it:)
