How do you deal with writer’s block?
Sankarasubramanyan Ramamoorthy Patience! I have days when I can't find one word to write. Then it comes as a cascade. We need the dry days for the waterfall to happen.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Sankarasubramanyan Ramamoorthy One can get lost in the imaginary world that one creates and get lost in that. It's a good escape from the troubles of this world! Secondly, writing is an expression of who I'm as a person. Writing is a powerful expression of self. I find that invigorating.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Sankarasubramanyan Ramamoorthy All of us have a story to tell. Please write and publish without any regard to whether the world will read it or not. Like the sun that shines everyday.

What are you currently working on?
Sankarasubramanyan Ramamoorthy I'm writing two books now. One is a text book for people who want to become human process facilitators. The second one is a book around the world of illusions that we have constructed and got caught into our lives. This is more of a metaphysical exploration on the nature of self and the world.

How do you get inspired to write?
Sankarasubramanyan Ramamoorthy I found the time to write because of the pandemic! I also got inspired by my ex-colleagues in COSL who supported me by giving me information that I needed.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sankarasubramanyan Ramamoorthy I worked for Citicorp overseas software limited (COSL) many years ago and it was the best time in my professional career. I always wanted to tell the story of this unique organisation that helped to launch the IT revolution in India and also followed some unique people practices that were ahead of its time. The main message of this book is that relationships are the essence of an organisation and that leads to results.
