Jen Devon Hi Nicole! I'm currently not under contract with any publishers, but I've had Mal's book fully outlined for a while, and a bunch of notes and ideas for Arden's. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish and self-publish their books someday. Thank you for your interest and your support!
Jen Devon Hi Teresa! I'm kinda dying to read Frankie and Mal's story, too! :) Their book is not under contract with any presses, but I hope to finish and self-publish it someday. Thanks for the Brady love - I'm endlessly humbled and grateful.
Jen Devon Hi Sherri! I am so grateful that your book club chose Bend Toward the Sun. I do have a discussion guide on my website at https://jendevon.com/btts-discussion-... I hope it helps!

As for your last question... you'll see TJ and Duncan again in 2024. :)
Jen Devon Hello friend! This is a tough one, because I learned a lot about med school and residency for Harry's background, and a lot about vineyards for Rowan's. Both were full of really surprising tidbits along the way. I think the most surprising thing I learned was a fun coincidence that I didn't plan for - the fact that the environmental conditions for growing grapes in southwest Pennsylvania are very similar to the environment in Galicia in Spain, where Gia's family of wine-growers is from.

I initially chose a fictionalized version of the Brandywine valley west of Philadelphia as the setting of the book, simply because I fell in love with Philly when I was there for a work trip years ago, and I wanted to write about a vineyard that wasn't California, France, or Italy. I also knew I wanted Gia to be from Spain. I chose Galicia as the region where her family's roots are because of its wildness and beauty, not knowing the climate and soil were similar to southwest PA. I'm pretty preoccupied with making sure my plot points are as believable as possible, and since the reason the Bradys buy the old vineyard is because Gia wants to make wine like her family in Spain does, this was a really delightful - and accidental - bit of harmony in the details.
Jen Devon Hi Ana! Right now I'm on track for book two to come out sometime in 2024. Thank you so much for reading Bend Toward the Sun!
Jen Devon Hello! My first-ever Goodreads question, how exciting!

An average writing day for me is never a full ~8 hours of writing, as much as I wish it could be. I have a dayjob that takes up the majority of my weekdays. So, I usually get up around 4:00 in the morning to get a few hours of writing time in before having to wrangle kids off to school. I also write in the evenings, but my mind is much less sharp then. My family has adapted to not seeing me much on the weekends when I'm on a deadline.

As for my favorite author - tough one! Perennial favorites are Sally Thorne, Nora Roberts, and Robert Jordan.

Thank you for your question!
