Will Soulsby-McCreath There's a lot of options when I face writers block, but the most reliable options are:
a) talk the issue through with my wife
b) make something with my hands (like baked goods, meals that take a long time, craft things like cosplay, or even just cleaning the house). Doing something with my hands and disengaging from writing for a little while usually lets the story percolate in the back of my mind.
Will Soulsby-McCreath Making worlds and people that don't exist come to life. Easing people's bad days by providing a fictional world to escape to. (That's two things, but I couldn't just pick one)
Will Soulsby-McCreath Listen to people's advice about writing (especially people who are also writers) but don't listen too hard.

Most people who give out writing advice do so in an attempt to solve problems and help people write the best thing they can. However, not everybody has the problems they're trying to solve. Take the advice, examine your own work, and go from there: impliment or don't as necessary.

Also, never stop writing. (or, you know, take a break and come back later). Don't let doubters tell you to stop because you'll never improve. You improve by doing.
