Amanda, I placed the HFN because I'm hoping this will be a series and there will be more to come. This book does not end on a cliff hanger and it would be considered a HEA if there are no more books in the series. I'm a fan of the happy ending so pretty much all my books, even if they are part of a series, will hopefully give you the happy feels when you finish.
Hope that answers your question. Please let me know if it doesn't or if you have any further questions. I'm so happy you liked the Perfect Pixie series. The Necromancer Tales books are set in the same world and characters from the Perfect Pixie books will pop up here and there but won't be the main focus.
Thanks so much,
MJ May

Larisa,
There is one final pixie book that will hopefully go up for pre-order in the next week to two and be available by the first of May. It's titled, "Purrfectly Peculiar Pixie". There will also be a spin off series to follow. The epilogue in the last pixie book hints at the spin off. I'm about half-way through writing the first book in this series.
Thanks so much for your question. I hope you enjoy the lat installment. I've really enjoyed writing the pixie books and fear not, our interesting pixies will pop up here and again in the spin off.

I just finished writing the 5th Perfect Pixie book. It should start the editing process within the next week or two. My hope is that it will be out mid to late spring.
Ahh . . . yes . . . as for Arie's POV at the end of book 4, you are correct in that I typically write the epilogue in one of the next book's main character's POV. However, book 4 is a little different. When I finished book 4, I wasn't certain who the two main characters for the fifth book would be so I chose to write from Arie's perspective (plus I sort of wanted to get into his twisted brain little). As for the couple for book 5 . . . one of them is Leon and the other is a new pixie we haven't met yet. He's very unique in the pixie world, maybe even one of a kind.
This will be the final book in the Perfect Pixie series, but I plan to write other stories that take place in this world. The epilogue in this last book hints to those plans.
Hope that answers your question and thanks for asking.

Gloria, I wish I had a good answer to that. In my mind, fairies are secretive and the other species don't know a lot about them. It was a way to indicate fairies truly are a different species from the rest. And yes, in the Perfect Pixie world, all fairies have two hearts - except Wendall, but he's extra special ;)

I'm not sure of the exact date, but it will most likely be November or December of this year. Perfectly Perplexing Zombie is currently in proofreading.
I'm so glad you enjoy the stories! I love writing them. All told, I think there will be 5 books in this series. I haven't started the 5th one yet, but I've finally settled on the main characters and am mentally going over the plot. As soon as I'm finished with the 3rd Maverick Insurance Mysteries book, I'll start on book 5 of the pixie series.
Take care and thank you for your question.

Cadence,
I'm so sorry, I missed your question somewhere along the line. The short answer is I don't think so. I have someone else in mind for Ray (it with be the 4th book coming out late 2023). As for Hamish . . . I'm not certain. I've toyed with the idea of finding him someone, but haven't come to any definite conclusions yet. Hamish will reappear in the 4th book and I enjoyed writing his character. I may do a book of short stories related to this series and I think if he pops up anywhere, it will be there.
Thanks for your question and again, so very sorry I missed it. I really try and answer questions in a timely manner and appreciate yours.

Soon! Perfectly Perfect Pixie: Peaches Story, will be out at the end of July or most likely the beginning of August. It is currently in the proofreading stage and I should have it back in a couple of weeks. There will be a third pixie book out hopefully in September/October called, Perfectly Charmed Pixie: Parsnip's story. I am working on a 4th in the series, but it's not about a pixie per se. The 4th book will be about Hellfire Rayburn, Sedrick's fairy lawyer.
I'm so glad you liked the first book. I've enjoyed exploring this world and am happy to have the opportunity to write more stories in it.

Emma,
At this time, I have plans for at least 2 more books. The next book, "Perfectly Perfect Peaches" is written but hasn't gone for editing yet. I'm hopeful it will be out by late summer 2023.
I've got a third book brewing in my brain and plan to start on it soon. The third book will involve a pixie named, Parsley. We haven't met him yet, but will in the epilogue of Peaches's book.
At this point, I'm not sure if there will be more than 3 total. There could be. Time, response, and my imagination will tell.
Thanks so much for your question. I'm so glad you liked Phil and Sedrick's story. Personally, I really wish home and hearth pixies truly existed. I think we could all benefit from one :-)

Yes. Sort of . . . There will be another pixie book, but it won't exactly be a sequel. The next book will focus on Peaches and be told from his and Lucroy's point of view. Phil, Sedrick, and the kids will show up too. Right now the working title is Perfectly Perfect Peaches. It should be out mid to late summer (hopefully :)
I have a third pixie book ruminating in my head as well.
FYI, Perfectly Perfect Pixie is going audio! The audiobook should be out sometime mid to late summer as well.
Thanks for your questions and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have more.

My brain doesn't like to shut down and go quiet. This was driving me to an early grave. I would lay in bed at night and worry, worry, worry. Creating stories helped get my mind off of school when I was younger. Now that I'm older, I do the same thing to derail my brain from its one track path regarding cases at work. I don't leave things at the clinic when I walk out the door so I need something else to think about and this is a wonderful outlet.

I'm finishing the Reaping Covetous series. Book 7 will be the final one and it is almost finished. After that, I think I'll try and work on two books at once—in separate genres. I have a spin off to the Reaping Covetous series I'd like to start, but also want to get back to some M/M fantasy. I've got a few ideas brewing in my brain.

Go with the old Nike logo and "Just Do It". If you'd like something more useful, I started writing fanfiction over 15 years ago. I posted stories and readers were great about reviewing. The reviews gave me confidence and sometimes they also gave good writing advice. I love that community and have a great fondness for them.

Most of the answers to challenging story dilemmas come to me while I'm on the elliptical, in the shower, mowing the lawn, or cleaning the house. The best way I can think to describe it is that my active brain is at rest, just sort of hanging about. I call it giving my lizard brain an opportunity to chime in. Surprisingly, my lizard brain has a lot to say sometimes.
