The idea for Where Ivy Dares to Grow came from the merging of a lot of different places -- Taylor Swift's song "ivy" (which definitely inspired the title!), reading personal letters and journaling from 19th century authors particularly Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, the isolation of quarantine, immigrating to a new country, and being diagnosed with a dissociative disorder and learning more about how to manage my mental health.

I'm currently working on my second book (set for release in summer 2024), a witchy gothic set in both 1824 and modern day, about an alternate Edinburgh where witches are able to live a second life after death.
