Michael Frost Beckner Hi Barry, I steered to the "idea" (at the time, younger than and full of myself--thought it just popped into my head) by people in the realm of US intelligence who had sort of gathered around my work in Hollywood, always ready with a piece of advice or a "what if..." Can't say I had any British contacts at that point in my career, but, interesting that you'd point it out as I had forgotten, but I did have a German acquaintance in that world I'd bounce ideas off of from time to time... One of the fun things about my new SPY GAME novels, they completely change the context of how you watch the film--each book giving the original film a new twist, new revelation, new stakes. I like to remind folks that Redford's character is LYING THE WHOLE TIME... Best regards, Michael
