Robin Alvarez I just finished the first draft to the sequel to Paramour: Paradox!
Robin Alvarez For me, writer’s block usually comes from not thinking enough about a scene. It could be that the setting is just coming off as a white room in my head, or it might be something more difficult like my characters not saying or doing what I want them to. Most of the time, if I grab a notebook I can ask myself questions until the scene starts to take life in my head. For example, I have three main characters in my current WIP. I have to ask myself what each character wants and how they could get it in each chapter so that no one is forgotten or underdeveloped 🖤
Robin Alvarez 1. Don't be afraid to write crappy first drafts. Just get the words down and fix things in revision.

2. You don't have to put everything, every idea in your first book. You will write more books. You will have time to give those ideas the creative space they need to flourish.
Robin Alvarez As I finished writing the first draft of Paramour, my grandpa looked over my shoulder. He'd been dead for two weeks.
