I would rephrase this question. I have been writing for as long as I can remember, and I find that putting pen to paper helps to clear my busy mind and organize my thoughts. I would not say I was inspired to write, but that writing inspired me to be the person I am.

The theme of Fingerprints In The Water is ocean pollution and microplastics. While microplastics have been in the spotlight recently, the larger picture often gets overlooked. Our oceans are home to five massive garbage patches, swirling monuments to our collective impact. It felt like a powerful issue for young people to confront—and a natural fit for the youth-led, eco-fiction focus of the Draconim series.
