Christine James I try to work on something else. If that doesn't work, I step away for a few days and then try to get back on it. I never force an idea or story. IF you do, then its over because readers will know as soon as they pick that book up.
Christine James Getting to create these fantastic places for people to escape too for a little while. Helping people forget the ugliness in the world and bringing them some sort of joy.
Christine James Don't ever give up. I know it sounds so cliche, but it couldn't be any truer. Carry a notebook around with you, at the very least a pen. Jot things down. Don't EVER let anyone tell you, you can't.
Christine James I'm currently working on a psychological thriller/suspense. Diving deep into the mind of a psychopath. It's pretty intense.
Christine James Quite literally everything inspires me. I'll be sitting outside on my porch in the evening, and the sounds of crickets and frogs inspire me.
Christine James I've always loved Louisiana! The swamps down there hold this incredible appeal. They always have. They are this living thing that is both beautiful and extremely deadly. So, what better thing to write about is a killer that thrives in the swamp.
