I wanted to write his series so badly, but the interest from readers just wasn't there for another spinoff. I'm considering giving him a novella/novel, but I wanted to give him more.

The Araneae series has neither. The Black Dog series has a love triangle, and the heroine starts the series broken up with her ex because he cheated on her. But there's no cheating on the page. It's in their past.

The world is an inspiring place, and people are endlessly fascinating. I often look to nature for ideas, and there's no end to the miracles and wonder to be found there. The characters tend to pop into my head full of their own hopes and dreams (sometimes without an invitation) and books happen when I can pair those personalities with the right idea.

I'm working on the best way to present this information on my website (and the Amazon series page). Right now the reading order is: the Black Dog series, Mai's book, and then the Gemini series. The events of Mai's book and the first Gemini book, Dead in the Water, happen shortly after the end of Old Dog, New Tricks.

The Araneae series is "mainstream heat". There are consummated love scenes, but on average only one per novel. I would say they're rated R for that reason, but they're definitely not erotic.
