Susan Trombley Thank you! I love to see interest for more from the Iriduan series. I have so many ideas for continuing that series, so there will definitely be more books coming. I am hoping to get a major one done this year but will have to see how that goes. I'm hesitant to promise anything this early, but I have a great deal already plotted out and waiting for the story to be told, so fingers crossed I can get it done because it's a story that's been in the works since the beginning of the series, just waiting for the perfect time to come together. I hope that time will be this year!
Susan Trombley I'm so happy you asked, and I'm thrilled that you've discovered my Shadows in Sanctuary series. I'm actually working on Uriale's Redemption right now, and I'm hoping to release it sometime next month. Thank you for your interest. I love to see this series getting some love!
Susan Trombley Thank you so much for expressing interest! I have been thinking about creating audiobooks a lot lately, and I would likely begin with The Scorpion's Mate, based on the popularity of that series. So far, there has just been so much else going on in my life that I couldn't take the time to really focus on the process, but I am hoping to have a little more free time this year, so I will be exploring my options. It is always good to see that my readers would love to have these books in audio, so I really appreciate the question. If and when I do make an audiobook version, I will definitely be sharing news about it on all my social media and via newsletters.
Susan Trombley Hi, thank you for asking! The virgin hero trope is actually one of my personal faves, so as a result, I have quite a few of them in my own books. Nemon, from my The Kraken's Mate book is not a virgin, technically, because he did mate with the monster females of his species when he was still a monster. However, my Iriduan Test Subjects series has quite a few virgin heroes. My Into the Dead Fall series also has a few, and the spinoff series for that one, featuring their children, will have virgin heroes for the first two books, the first of which is Vincent's Resolution, available for preorder on Amazon now and releasing December 18th. Here is a list of the heroes who are virgins and the books they are from:

Iriduan Test Subjects series:
Thrax from The Scorpion's Mate
Nahash from The Serpent's Mate
Hunter from The Hunter's Mate
Halian from The Fractured Mate (Enki is not a virgin, but Halian is)
Subject 34, Nirgal, and Ilyan from The Clone's Mate

Into the Dead Fall series:
Iyaren from Into the Dead Fall
Gray from Key to the Dead Fall
Asterius from Minotaur's Curse

Children of the Dead Fall series:
Vincent from Vincent's Resolution (releasing December 18, 2021)
Sherak from Sherakeren's First Date (tentative title for an upcoming book, not currently available to order)

Susan Trombley At the moment, I haven't yet set up to have an ARC team, but I have definitely put it on my list of things I still need to do. If I do build one, I will make an announcement on my blog or my Facebook page. Thank you for asking!
Susan Trombley I'm so thrilled you want more. I am working on Hunter's story right now. I intend to write Halian's story after that. Ava's story will come after that, which probably won't happen until next year. (I'm hoping to have Hunter's and Halian's stories done this year.)

As much as I want to start on Ava's story, there are certain elements of it that might be spoilery for the other books, because of the Lusian ability to predict future events, so I had to wait until the others are published to write that one, but they will be in the works and I am writing away!
Susan Trombley Thank you for asking, and I'm sorry about any confusion the author's note might have caused. Chimera's Gift will be the fourth book in my "Into the Dead Fall" series, so it won't be Ava's story. With Ava's story, I've decided to wait until the next two stories in the series are complete, because of things that Ava's mates will know that could end up being spoilery for those books. I decided this as my work on Ava's book revealed things I wasn't ready to reveal yet, so I knew I would have to push it back to after the other two books. As for Tarin... well, I can't reveal that yet. ;) But I hope you will be looking forward to the next book to learn more, and don't worry, Ava's book IS coming down the line. :D
Susan Trombley Thank you for asking! I do have a story for Ava which does include Roz (and members of his crew since it is RH), but it won't be the next story in the series. It will be coming though. With the Lusians being so mysterious at this point in the overall universe I've developed, I didn't want to delve too deep into their perspective before certain universal events take place in the series, which is one reason I have delayed Ava's story, despite it taking place during the same time as Claire's story. Believe me, I can't wait to share it! The Lusians are one of the most interesting for me to write, and I love exploring their strange biology and their fascinating perspectives. I touched a bit on them in my Dead Fall series, but will go into much more detail with Ava and Roz's story.
Susan Trombley Thank you so much, Caitlan! I'm so glad you loved my books!

As for suggestions, there are so many wonderful authors I love to read that it will be difficult to pick just a few :D.

For alien romance, I love alien heroes that actually look alien in their appearance and anatomy, so I tend to search for that kind of book, and Amanda Milo has a wonderful series with very alien (almost dragon-like) aliens. I also really enjoy V.C. Lancaster's Office Aliens series with very alien heroes coming from very different cultures. Her Ruth and Gron series is also very good.

Poppy Rhys has an excellent series called the Women of Dor Nye that I recommend for good science fiction romance, alien heroes, and plenty of steaminess. JM Link is a newer author with a very good series that starts with Saving Askara.

That's quite a few good books to start with right there, but I can't end this without mentioning Tiffany Roberts, because all of the books I've read of hers are amazing. I highly recommend the Kraken series, as it's one of my personal favorites (I love the human-octopus aliens, which probably isn't surprising ;) ).

All of these authors are auto-buys for me when they have new releases, and most of the time, I don't even read the blurbs first (I probably should, but since I follow all of them, I'm aware of what their upcoming releases are about before they drop).

I'm an avid reader of romance particularly, though I often branch out into other genres for something different, so I've come across many great authors and books, and the ones I mentioned above are the ones I thought of first when you asked for books similar to my own work. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
Susan Trombley Thank you for asking, and for reading my books! I'm so glad you loved them! I am planning on continuing the Iriduan Test Subject series with the next book I'm working on, and I have several more for that universe that I want to release, though I'm still torn on whether to name them as part of the original series or as a spin-off of that series. There will definitely be more books in the Dead Fall series as well. In fact, I just recently finished the first draft of the next book in that series, though I don't have a release date for that yet. I hope to have plenty more to come in the future for both of those series, and I have plans to release several of those books this year, though I don't want to make any firm promises at this point. Let's just say that it's my goal.
Susan Trombley Hello Marian! Thank you for your wonderful comment. The best way to get updates on my new releases is to follow my Facebook Page: The Princess's Dragon or to follow my blog (which should also update on Goodreads so you should be able to get it following me on here). If not, it's: susantrombleyblog.wordpress.com. I'm planning on creating a newsletter at some point, but I've been so busy this year that I haven't had a chance to sit down and really work on that, but when I do, I'll have the update for that as well in both those places.

I have a plan for Ava's story and in The Serpent's Mate, I go into a bit more about what's going on with her, but I do eventually plan to write her book. I'm just not sure when it will be as I'm taking a break after I release my next book to examine my projects and decide which to pursue first. Once I've decided what I'll be working on next, I generally post updates on my blog and FB, so if you're following me on here, you'll probably see that blog update.

Thank you for asking! I hope you continue to enjoy the series and I'm glad to hear that you're interested in Ava's book, because I'm definitely interested in writing it!
Susan Trombley Hi Susie,
Thank you for asking! I'm thrilled that you love my Shadows series! I do have plans for at least three more books in the series, and yes, one of them is for the executioner. He's also a very intriguing character to me. :D My initial plan when I finished Jessabelle's Beast was to write Uriale's story next, and I already had an outline, a good idea where I was going, and a strong impression of the characters by the time I finished Jessabelle's book (which made me perhaps a bit overconfident in announcing it).

Unfortunately, even with all of that, the story just wasn't coming together as I'd liked, so I switched to a different project to give myself time to work out the issues I had with it. I'm still going back and forth on it, but I'm thinking that I might need to write one of the other stories first, given that they take place in different areas and don't need to be chronological. I hate to disappoint those who are waiting for Uriale's story, and I'm still working on it and have every intention of releasing it at some point, but it just isn't coming together as I'd hoped, so it might be time to revisit that series with a different book, and I am anxious to write those stories too.

As for when I'll have the next book out, even if it's not Uriale's, I can't say yet. I don't want to set another deadline and then miss it, so I'm going to be very cautious in the future about announcing a time frame for books. I will say that I write every day, and I am eager to bring these stories to my wonderful readers.
Susan Trombley Thank you, Jessica! I have another book planned for The Iriduan Test Subjects series, and that will be The Serpent’s Mate. After that, I have some ideas for more books set in this universe, but they will be a part of a different series. At least one will feature an Akrellian, and at least one will feature the Iriduans themselves, and I’m also tentatively considering a book with another gray alien hero. My other series, Into the Dead Fall, has at least one more book coming, though I have plenty of ideas for more. My Shadows in Sanctuary series has at least one more book coming, though again, I have ideas for more. My fantasy series is on hold for now, but I do have ideas for it.

Susan Trombley I’m glad you asked this question, and you have no idea how badly I want to answer it in detail :D. I just can’t at this point. What I can do is give you a couple of hints: 1. Halian was more than he seemed. 2. I LOVE a redemption story!!!! (Villain to hero is one of my all time favorite tropes in romance, so you gotta figure I have plans to write at least one of those (if not more ;) ). 3. Although tortured and conflicted, at the core, Halian was always meant to be a good guy.
Susan Trombley Thank you for your wonderful comments! I'm glad you are enjoying my books. I honestly don't know why Jessabelle's Beast isn't showing up on kindle for Amazon UK. It's set up on my end for worldwide distribution. I'll look into it, and let you know when it gets corrected. Thank you for making me aware there was an issue.
Susan Trombley Hi Elisa, I love to hear that you really enjoyed The Scorpion's Mate and Into the Dead Fall. I have written the first draft of Evie's story, and I'll begin working on revisions to that within a couple of days, however, I feel like Alice's story isn't quite finished, which is something I discovered while writing Evie's story, so I will be adding to that as well.

I'm not sure what form that will take at the moment, and I don't like to make promises that lock me in, so I'll just leave that kind of vague. ;)

It's the same with release dates. Because I'm still at the first draft stage, it's difficult to determine exactly when I'd be releasing the book, because many things can happen during the process to change that, and I don't like to disappoint readers. I wish I could give you a firm date, but at the moment, I don't have one.

I will be posting regular updates on my blog (which should be shared here on Goodreads) and my Facebook page, The Princess's Dragon. Rest assured, Evie's story is coming, and I'm really excited about it. She's definitely yelling the loudest. (I love that description, BTW. It's so true.)
Susan Trombley I'm hoping that I will be able to release it in ebook next week on or around 5/23/18. Everything is finished but the cover, which should be done by Monday. Fingers-crossed, there won't be any delays!
Susan Trombley I've wanted to be a writer since I was in fifth grade, so I'm living my dream, but probably the best thing about being a writer is that I get to read! Reading is as much my passion as writing, and I've been gobbling up words since I first learned my alphabet. My writing allows me to create the kinds of stories I want to read and then read them. Over and over. :) I write a lot of manuscripts that will never be published. They're just for me to read whenever I want to return to that world I created.
