The hardest part is balancing projects. There're many ideas I have that I'd like to pursue, but unless I focus on one or two at a time I'd never finish anything. Sometimes it can be very frustrating, especially if I self impose deadlines because I try to work on the project that I'm feeling at that moment.

My dream as a writer is to be able to live comfortably just through my writing. Definitely not happening yet, but I'm young so hopefully it happens eventually!

Sean Costello has been an anesthesiologist for 35 years and would love to retire (now that he's 65) so he can write full time, but he's gotten 8 novels published, numerous screen plays too, and is writing #9. Guy T. Martland, a hospital pathologist, also published a hefty science fiction novel (The Scion) and is writing another novel now. E.E. Giorgi, PhD in science, full-time at Los Alamos, is a prolific writer. I'm thinking I need a day job (and math/science brains).

I've always said there is a relation between the two. I can't say for sure what it, but have no doubt it effects how I structure stories. I also love setting descriptions, which often times can be very architectural.

Depends on how I feel about what I'm writing. If I'm writing something that I really feel confident/passionate about then that's always going to win.

That's a really good question. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it's because that's where a lot of us found our initial inspiration. At least with me it was from movies like star wars, etc.

Reading other books of the genre I'm currently working on, and watching movies and shows in that genre as well.
