Hello! I absolutely enjoyed This is how you lose the time war. I was wondering, how hard was it to conceptualize the kind of story you and Mr Gladstone wanted to write? And if we can expect anything more set in the same universe?
Amal El-Mohtar Hello! The only stuff we have planned for the same universe at the moment is a TV show (it's very early days -- the book got optioned, we got hired to write the screenplay, we did that, next steps are pending) -- but as for conceptualizing it, I think we had the flavour, the project, the general sense of it before we had any of its particulars. Will you be doing any events coming up? Side note: I assigned this as required reading for the high school this year and was surprised to hear that students warmed to it significantly after realizing it was an LGBT romance instead of the "literature" it seemed like they were being forced to read.
