Have you ever thought of making this into a movie?? the book will always be better but i really wanna see how all the characters look together and really see how they display emotion. Love the book btw

Hi Lydia, i just wanna say i absolutely loved your book. i literally could not put it down however i am curious, would you be able to write another part where instead of Andrew coming out as gay he was actually interested in her making her choice between him and Ben a little more difficult?? Because i feel like if Andrew reciprocated her feelings she might not have cared about Ben in the end, i dont know.

What is the theme of "Whenever im with you"? i really enjoyed the book but i didn't really understand the theme. Thanks! -sarah

Lydia Sharp I'm so glad you enjoyed Whenever I'm with You, and that's a great question! I believe theme is something unique to each reader, since we all experience stories in different ways and get different things out of them. So all I can tell you is what this story meant for me personally. I felt the main theme was "follow your heart" and it is stated in the book like this: "wherever you go, let your heart lead your feet."

Hello! I loved your short piece "Mismatched," and was wondering if there was anyplace people could still buy a copy? I wanted to recommend it on my blog but it doesn't seem like you can actually get it anywhere anymore :(

I'm so glad you enjoyed Mismatched! Unfortunately, the publisher closed, and the rights have been reverted back to me, but I have not yet decided what to do with the story. Many readers have mentioned they would like to see it expanded into a novel. I also have the option to self-publish it in its current short form. But I'm not sure which road I want to take with it yet. Right now I'm busy editing Whenever I'm with You, so that's taking up all of my creative energy. As soon as I make a decision on what to do with Mismatched, I'll make an official announcement--I know a lot of people are waiting on it, so I want to make sure I give it careful thought and do what's best for the story and the readers.
