The stories in Irish Love Stories, my latest book, are stories I tell and that people have told me they appreciate.

At the same time each day.
Don't self-edit until the entire work is done.
You are trying to draw from the well of creativity.
The more you draw from it, the freer it flows.
Brendan Nolan Being able to express in words those thoughts and ephemera that pass through our minds from time to time.
And occasionally those words strike a chord with someone else.
Brendan Nolan Sit down and write something else until exhaustion comes.
Then, go back to the original difficulty and most times it's vanished.

Continue writing anything that comes to mind, even gibberish for as long as it takes for the creative mind to return.
Later, you can go back and assess the gibberish.
Sometimes, some of it can be recovered.
