I really wanted to tell a story about a homeless teen. It is important to me that people, especially young people, know that there are underage homeless people. There are a million different reasons kids end up on the streets and most of them aren't nice reasons, but those kids deserve a chance to change their circumstances. That is why I wrote my Worth the Effort series. Ella's Story is about a girl who meets and falls for a homeless boy. Ayden's Story is about why he's homeless.
