Rue Volley Yes, and it is clearly listed that way on Amazon. I've never written Western style RH although I see nothing wrong with it. I just don't prefer it at all. It's probably because I have been an anime fan for so many years. Thank you for the question, and interest in my series. I appreciate it.
Rue Volley I apologize for taking so long to answer your question. I rarely come over to this site. It is a reverse harem. This series is going to be thirteen books long. I write traditional RH. I posted what that is in the description on book one (on Amazon). RH started in anime and has Japanese roots; it isn't American. Many times American authors have taken this genre and made it what they wanted it to be as opposed to what it actually is. I have no problems with that at all, but my books are traditional in nature. I really appreciate your interest, and I hope that you enjoy the series as much as I enjoy writing it. Happy reading. xoxo
Rue Volley The Bitter End is no longer available for sale. I'm not sure when I'll re-release it.
Rue Volley Right now it's Echo Navarri and Thorn Vega from 13 Ways To Midnight:) If I don't love them, I can't write them and they'll consume my year.
Rue Volley I don't think I've ever suffered from it because if I don't feel inspired to write, then I don't write. Forcing yourself to do anything usually ends up being a waste of time.
Rue Volley The fans. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy writing, but the fans are the ones who make it worth it.
Rue Volley First of all, polish your work and make sure you release the best book that you possibly can. Sloppy edits can and will kill your career.
Do as much research as you possibly can on marketing and promotion. Save up your money. Publishing has changed. It isn't about releasing a book and hoping everyone notices it. You have to have a marketing plan before you release it, or you won't sell any of them.
Avoid drama and those who cause it.
Understand that your author platform is vital to your brand. You have to treat this as a business and not a hobby.
Last, but not least, don't allow people to discourage you. Listen to those who offer constructive criticism without trying to impress their friends with a nasty review.
Rue Volley My current WIP is Hellhound (Episode One: Dead is Dead) It's book one of the old series, revamped and revisited with a new storyline and edits. The original book came out in 2013, and I pulled it from publication in 2014. I wrote a full-length screenplay to adapt it to film, and this book follows that adaptation. Currently, I have one Hellhound Origins book out called 'Tale of the Red Dragon.' It is the backstory of Dorin, who is one of the main characters in the Hellhound Universe. A second Hellhound Origins book is coming soon called 'Tale of Two Brothers,' which tells the story of Lucifer and his brother when they lived on their home planet of Moriah. Hellhound will be released on October 13th, 2016.
Rue Volley Every book that I have out has truth woven into it. It's usually some portion of my life seeping into my creative world. I use writing as a therapeutic tool. Other sources of inspiration usually include music and any outings to the lake.
Rue Volley I apologize for not seeing this question sooner. Goodreads hid every question I had from me and there looks like there are quite a few.

My husband suffers from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. He is Jack Landon in The Devil's Gate Trilogy. I wrote the story, not only because it haunted me, but because I needed to work my way through it. Currently, I'm working on Hellhound (Episode One: Dead is Dead) Release date for it will be October 13th, 2016.
