My novels were inspired by true stories from my years as a police officer and FBI Agent. During quiet moments when I reflect on those years, I'll think of an arrest or investigation and think about how that would play out in a novel.

My most recent book, BAD INTENT, was inspired by my years on the FBI-NYPD Drug Task Force. We were targeting Colombian cocaine during the years that the Medellin and Cali Cartels ruthlessly ruled the drug trade. Those were the most exciting years of my 27 year law enforcement career.
