Steven Poore Hi, Juho! Thanks for the question!
I try not to write characters you wouldn't want to hang out with, at least for a little while. Being in the company of the irrepressible Prince Rais of Galliarca for too long might be a bit wearing though... :)
Steven Poore Hi Thomas! I'm sorry for the delay in replying here, but I missed the notifications... :/
Anyway: Yes, Malessar's Curse is an adult epic fantasy story, although like LOTR I think anybody from 13 tears old upwards can pick it up and enjoy it. It's very much a tribute to the "old classics" such as Magician, the Belgariad, and Memory Sorrow & Thorn. The story as it stands, which really is Cassia's story, is complete - you only need HEIR TO THE NORTH and THE HIGH KING'S VENGEANCE. There may be other stories set in that world in the future too, but we'll have to wait for those for now... ;)

Steven Poore If you wait for inspiration, you'll never write anything. Inspiration does help - the ideas have to come from somewhere, don't they? - but it's hard work that gets any project finished. You have to be able to write when you're not inspired, as well as when you are. It may not be pleasant, and you may wind up cutting what you've written, but get the words down. Get in the habit.
Steven Poore I usually have several things on the go at any one time, all in different states of unfinishedness. There's a series of slightly comic shaggy-dog tales about a South Yorkshire superhero and his various troubles, and a rather dark short story set in a sort of Ainu Japan analogue. Oh, and a fairytale set partly on the Shropshire Union Canal. And The Empire Dance - I'll never have time to be bored!
