Chloe Garner Thank you so much! I've been getting this question a lot more frequently, and for good reason. The world has expanded out to far reaches that exceed even the original maps that I drew as I was doing my planning work.

I would like to get something drafted that is better to scale than what I originally drew (whoops!) and that includes later locations beyond my early drawings, but I'm not sure how that will go out when it does. I'll try to get back here to let you know when it happens!
Chloe Garner I'm actually planning an additional 4 books in the series in 2025 or early 2026. I've wanted to go back and finish out the story with these characters, but my current project got HUGE.
Chloe Garner Thank you so much! I'm glad you've enjoyed the series thus far, and I do absolutely intend to write more in that world, hopefully coming in late 2024 or early 2025. I'm in the middle of a very large project, but I want to go add books to existing series as soon as I wrap up this one. I will warn you, though, that I don't see series as something that come to a 'happily ever after' ending - there are only specific places where I could see a series coming to a concrete ending, rather than leaving it open for additional books, because the characters I write are seldom the type who will settle down and live a quiet life, in the future. They have skills and interests that are going to continue to get them in trouble, and in most cases, I have a vision of what that trouble is going to look like.

What I have also learned recently is that I prefer to write in 4-book blocks, so when more Tell books do come, look for several at once!
Chloe Garner The series is intentionally set up to let me add books one at a time in the future, and I would love to come back to them. My 2021 writing calendar is filled at this point, though, and I don't know yet where my focus is going to be in 2022.
Chloe Garner A lot of TV, a lot of movies, a lot of time out on walks. I consume a huge amount of fiction and I spend a lot of time enjoying and processing that fiction, and that inspiration shows up all over the place in my writing.
Chloe Garner If you're looking for something artistic, you've come to the wrong author. A lot of authors say that the best thing about being a writer is the ability to get paid for making things up, and that's valid, but for me the best thing about being a writer is being able to set my own schedule, my own pace, and my own interests. I invest a huge amount of time at this - it certainly isn't easy or low-commitment - but I have seasons where I know I can do more and I know I can do less, and I can work around them. I can chase the glitter as it sparkles at me and write what I want to write, as I keep in mind what readers are excited about. On days that I'm not energetic enough to write, there are always other things I can do instead to keep up with my schedule and balance out my objectives.
