I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?

Angela Ruth Strong Don't think of it as competition. Everything worth doing is going to be hard. You have nothing to prove. Say you made it to JK Rowling level, you'd just get attacked harder by more people. Write out of love, not fear. Write because you have something to say. Write because it's how you hug a very scared and lonely world.

Will there be a sequel to Husband Auditions?

Angela Ruth Strong There's not one in the works at this time, though I will be writing a flash fiction piece about Gemma and Officer Angry Eyes for the October edition of Spark Magazine. Thank you for asking!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Angela Ruth Strong I picked a beautiful setting--Big Sky, Montana--then I took one of the brothers from my first Love Finds You book and messed up his life so that he ends up in Big Sky.

As for my heroine, I gave her the chance to pursue one of my dreams by turning her grandfather's ranch into a retreat center/summer camp, and then I gave her my best friend's disease of diabetes so that she has her own unique challenges to overcome.
