I just read and loved your beautiful review of "Arundel". Though I don't write historical fiction, Kenneth Roberts is my role model and unreachable standard too. Funny - a Maine absentee voter, I live in Vancouver as well. Is your "The Mission" out? I'm ordering more of Kenneth Roberts' books for this unsettling time we're in, and would love to add yours to the list. All the best, Anneliese

Paul Vitols Hi Anneliese, and thank you so much for your appreciation! And also for your interest in The Mission. It is not yet complete, due to the vastness of the project, the existence of other large projects, and my tortoiselike approach to doing things.

So far I can only offer short stories in e-book form. If you could read only one, I would suggest "Lost Kings" (http://www.paulvitols.com/lost-kings/). If you were willing to write a review of it, I could send you a review copy.

I've never been to Maine, although I have been to Vermont on a meditation retreat. A life highlight.
