Dare I hope that one day there will be some sort of "years later" Reconstructionist novella? I know I'm not the only reader who would love that!

Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi! I don't have any current plans for a Reconstructionist specific novella but I do have 'story' that will appear in other Adept Universe books, and specifically Jasmine's series. Just as soon as I find the time to write it!

Is there a sequel planned for Misplaced Souls?

Meghan Ciana Doidge Yes! The Misfits of the Adept Universe books will each have a different narrator (though I suspect that Mory will narrate multiple books). Misfits 2 is a Kandy POV and I'll write in next (after Amplifier 6).

Hi, absolutely love the Adept Universe, all of the books in all the series and love listing to the Audible books, just wondering if you have a an approx timeline of when the last 3 Doswer books will be released? I get each one for each difference series as they come and love the Amplifer series in Audible which is the latest ones ive been able to get. Thank you for your stories, truely an amazing author.

Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi! Missed this question! Sorry. I've answered it more fully below (or above, not sure how my answered questions are sorted). Maybe in mid2021 for the final three Dowser books. I'm currently in production on the Reconstructionist trilogy and Amplifier 4 and audiobooks are very expensive so I can't do them all at once. :) Glad you are enjoying the Adept Universe!!

Hey Meghan, will Caitlin Davies be reading any other books in the series? I think she does the characters the best! She has a voice for every character and it really sets the tone. I can imagine everything just by her narration!

I'm currently focusing on the Reconstructionist audiobooks (they come before the final Dowser trilogy in the Adept Universe reading order) and adding to the Amplifier series audiobooks. But I'm so glad you've enjoyed Caitlin's narration – she is great! Maybe in mid to late 2021?

Hi there! Just wondering if/when the next set of Dowser books will be available as audiobooks? I love the series, and I'm really excited to get back to it (it's my go-to for listening while baking!).

Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi Deanna! I'm focusing on getting the audiobooks done for the Amplifier series right now. Eventually, I get around to the Reconstructionist Series and the rest of the Dowser Series. Unfortunately, audiobooks are time-consuming and expensive, so I have to budget for them.

Firstly I just want to say I love your books I’ve read each one that has been released multiple times and will likely continue to do so I’m curious if we will be seeing more from jade in the future or if her story has come to a close? Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi! Thanks for asking. As of right now Dowser 9 is the last book in the Dowser Series. The series is written as trilogies, so if I come up with a strong enough idea for three more books (D10-12) I will most certainly write them. For 2019 and 2020 I'm focusing on the Amplifier and Misfits of the Adept Universe Series. Jade makes a cameo appearance in Misfits 1.

I can't find Close to Home (Amplifier 0.5) anywhere. Where can I get it?

Meghan Ciana Doidge HI! There are currently two ways to get Close to Home (Amplifier 0.5). It is bundled with The Amplifier Protocol (Amplifier 0) or available as the preorder giveaway for Demons and DNA (Amplifier 1) ( but only until April 30, 2019). Will there be an audiobook of Dowser #7 on Audible sometime soon?

Meghan Ciana Doidge Not soon, but eventually. I'm currently in production on the Oracle Series audiobooks, then I'll have the Reconstructionist Series done, then the next three Dowser books (7, 8, and 9). I wanted to get the overall Adept Universe available in the proper reading order. So ... best guess puts the next three Dowser books sometime in early 2019.

I don't have a kindle and really don't like the idea of having to buy one just to read certain authors. You're not the only one of my favorite authors to do that. Why do authors do that? I borrow your books from the library but it seems to take so long for it to come out in book format. I was able to borrow the audio from my library for the first 6 books.

Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi Leslie! All my books are available on all retailers. Not just on Kindle. 😊 They are in eBook format and paperback. There has been a slight delay on the paperback for Dowser 8 but it should be available next week. All my ebooks are also available for libraries. I give them to libraries for free. Though Overdrive charges a minimum price. If your library doesn’t have the ebooks please ask them to get them as they are definitely available. The only audiobooks I currently have are the six you’ve listened too. They are very expensive to produce and I haven’t invested in doing the others yet.

Will there be audiobooks for the non-Dowser books? I adored the 6 I've listened to, and am hoping for the rest of the Adept universe at least... Thanks!!

Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi Jackie! I'll be releasing author-narrated audiobooks for the Oracle and Reconstructionist Series, hopefully starting late-fall 2017 but definitely in early 2018. :) Sorry for the wait, life got in the way a little.

Is the Dower #6 the last in that particular series? I can see how it would go both ways. I'll tell you, I have a bit of a hangover from it - - and now it feels like I have post-partum or something! Just wondering if there's another one to look forward to! :)

Meghan Ciana Doidge There is definitely more Dowser coming. I'm writing Reconstructionist 3 right now, and brainstorming Dowser 7, 8, and 9 at the same time. A bunch of new cupcakes are on their way as well. Dowser 7 should be out before the end of 2017.

A list of chocolate will be included in the Adept Universe bible. Just as soon as I find the time to start putting something like that together.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Meghan Ciana Doidge So ... this is an interesting question, and when it popped into my inbox I wasn't completely sure how to answer. Which made me realize that I get attached to lead characters more than couples.

But for the sake of giving some sort of answer, I'd say I enjoy the banter/commitment between Kate and Curran in the Kate Daniels Series and Mercy and Adam in the Mercy Thompson Series. I also adore Wesley and Buttercup from The Princess Bride (true love conquers all). And Jamie and Claire from the Outlander series (for traveling through time and wars and strife to be with each other).

Dowser #7 - is it a possibility? When will it be available? Gotta have more dragons and cupcakes ! The way you ended Book 6 was ahhhhmazing!

Meghan Ciana Doidge Dowser 7 to 9 is in the works (the Dowser books are written as trilogies). Oracle 3 next, then The Reconstructionist. Hopefully you will see Dowser 7 in May or June next year (I'm not sure yet). But 2017 for sure. So glad you are enjoying the series!!

I'd really love if you made a Jade playlist available. Something along the lines of Jade's favorite dancing music and/or other songs that are Jade-esque. I tried to do it myself, but the only thing that popped for me so far is Emergency by Icona Pop. Any interest in ever releasing something like that?

Meghan Ciana Doidge I have been known to blog about the music I listen to while writing. And I do have a specific playlist for the Dowser books. I'd have to dig back through my blog to find links. I did a giveaway a few weeks ago where I asked readers what music they thought Jade might play in the bakery (etc) and the answers were great. I'll put this question on my Q&A/to-do list for my monthly newsletter. That way I'll eventually get it answered more fully. Thanks for asking!

When will you write more in your Cascadian series?

Meghan Ciana Doidge Hi Elizabeth!

Other books in the Cascadian Chronicles are not on my immediate to-write list. I did write about two-thirds of the 2nd book, Seer of the Wastelands – each novel was going to feature a separate narrator and (hopefully) stand alone. But then my Dowser series gained traction and I focused solely on the world of the Adept. I'm currently writing four series: Dowser, Oracle, Reconstructionist, and Necromancer.

So that is a long winded way of saying I'm 'booked' through Spring 2018. I have nine books plotted or in the process of being plotted.

But I'll never say never.
