Carol Strickland I've never experienced it. But in general, I'd say just start writing.
Carol Strickland It's a lifelong process of learning, whether I'm working on fiction or non-fiction. In both cases, you synthesize what you know and present it in a way that will engage the reader and spark new thoughts and emotions. The next best thing to being a perpetual student is being a teacher and narrator.
Carol Strickland I just put the final touches on my new art history eBook on Impressionism. I plan to write a blog post on my new insight gained while researching the topic: how the same ingredients that inspired the digital revolution went into this upheaval in visual art.

Of course, I have motivations like educating or entertaining readers, as well as trying to give a voice to women of the past who have been neglected by historians.

We decided to start with the most popular movement, Impressionism. I was very familiar with the artists' work, but what I learned through research was how much their group dynamics played a role in sustaining them until they were finally accepted.
