Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Ben, Peter is in cold storage for when the world needs him again :) I hope you enjoy the samples. Parts of The Call were heavily influenced by a certain school you may remember.
Take care!

Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Karen, thanks a million for reading my books :) I am constantly working on other stuff, of course. I just need to persuade somebody to publish them! Working on that right now...
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Ginger, thanks for asking!

Unfortunately, I have no new books scheduled, just yet. However, I recently completed a new novel -- it is currently called "This Dark Elixir" -- and I'll be working with my publisher to get it into the best possible shape for my readers. So, I hope to have some news after a few more months.

take care!

Peadar
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Shanny, thanks for asking! The Invasion is intended to be the last book.

However, I would love to write one some time based on the Testimonies of various survivors, but that will be a long time coming if it comes at all.

I am very grateful to anybody who has read these two!

take care,

Peadar
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Kim, I'm so happy to hear that! I was lucky enough to visit Atlanta a few years ago and would love to go back. It will be up to my publisher, though.

Thanks a million for asking 🙂
Peadar Ó Guilín Thanks, Drew! I'm glad you liked The Call! I'm not planning on writing another after The Invasion. There is certainly more room for stories in that universe and I may explore them in the future, but for now, it's two books and then, relax :)

Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Katy, that is a very perceptive question! However, since book two deals a lot with the subject of bargains and promises, I can't answer it without horrific spoilers. I hope you don't mind waiting a few more months!

And thank you so much for the kind words :D
Peadar Ó Guilín Dia is Mhuire duit, a Mhatilda 🙂
I would like to think it would make a good movie. My US publishers are currently looking for a Hollywood studio that might be interested in making it. I'll see what happens there before I do anything else.

Thanks for asking!
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Karen,

I was born in the Bons Secours hospital on College Road. So, yes, I would love to do a signing in Cork. It would depend on a bookshop wanting me to do one and inviting me down. If you know of one in the city that would be keen, feel free to let me know :)
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Floria, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) The two main inspirations for me were "The Book of Conquests", especially the translation that was illustrated by Jim Fitzpatrick in, I think, the 1980s, and the traditional Irish folklore about the fairies or, Sídhe. The two are related, in that The People of the Goddess Danú morphed over time into the naughty/nasty/unpredictable fairies.

Dagda, by the way, is thought to be an ancient Irish god. His name even means "good god", although, he is quite nasty in The Call...
Peadar Ó Guilín Many thanks to you for reading it!

I am always interested in characters that other people try to put into boxes and limit in some way. I like to see them breaking out of these boxes. Because of who she is, Nessa has to fight her own classmates and their perceptions as much as the Sídhe. I think that makes for a better, more rounded story.
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Cat, the sequel, called "The Invasion", will be released in March 2018. I'm sorry it's so late. The book has been completed, but the publishing industry likes to take its time... Thanks for asking!
Peadar Ó Guilín Thanks for your kind words, Cat! I would love to do a signing in the States. Let's see what happens when the sequel comes out. Not sure what the publication date will be yet, or even the title, but it's well on the way to completion :)

Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Hannah, thanks for asking! I was out walking one day and I had an image of somebody just disappearing from the middle of a crowded room with their clothing falling to the floor. After that, I had to figure out where they went and I used Irish mythology to find the answers.
Peadar Ó Guilín Hi Quix, thanks for checking out my book :)

There is a point in the story where a lot of readers cry -- not everybody, by any means, but a lot. There are also a few points where it can get scary. Again, that depends on the readers.
Peadar Ó Guilín Thanks a lot, Jo! One more book, I'd say. I don't want this to be a long series, but there are still a few adventures to be had :)
Peadar Ó Guilín Thanks for the question, Catherine! I've been told not to talk about sequels, but what I can say, is I'm editing a manuscript right now for a book to be published this time next year. I think you can guess what it's about :)
Peadar Ó Guilín I'll need to spend a few months thinking about that one :)
