Deadlines help me make sure I never have writer's block. Best thing to do is to keep moving--keep writing. Jump around to something that is a bit easy, but keep writing.

Best advice I can give is to finish your novel. Research, training, tweaking, whatever, winds up keeping far too many would-be writers from finishing their work. Without a finished novel, you're not an author. Get it done. That experience and that sense of accomplishment will motivate you to do more.

I am finishing up the second book in my DONNER GRIMM ADVENTURES series, a novel called THE UNWEAVING. It is filled with more of the over-the-top action/adventure set in WW2 that made the first book so loved. It is due out in March 2015. After that, book 3 of the WEIR CODEX, THE CESTUS CORRUPTION, will be out in May 2015. Fans of Mal's adventures will love the latest installment.
