Some days are harder than others. Today for instance I want to do anything but write like answer random questions on Goodreads. :)
I have found writing is like a muscle. The more you exercise it the stronger it will be. If you only write when you feel like it you may never finish a book. I try to write, if not everyday, at least 5 times a week.
Coffee is crucial in getting started. There are times when music helps. Sometime I read a great book just to get the rhythm of the words down. If I am really having issues with a scene I will write it out long hand. In fact, I wrote my first two books long-hand.
