I probably don't sleep as much as I should. :)
I try to set aside about 30 minutes a day for reading. Because we don't have cable, our TV isn't on a lot (except when we binge watch something on Netflix), so that helps as well.

As cliché as it sounds, read constantly, and read diversely—especially older books! Read authors like C.S. Lewis, JRR Tolkien, Charles Dickens and Mark Twain. Writers are readers, and if you're not reading, you're not going to be a great writer.

I read a lot, so whenever I'm stuck on something, I always turn to engaging with the books I'm reading, either writing a book review or interacting with an idea. That helps tremendously.
