Hi Mark I have just finished reading and reviewing Follow You Home. It was an awesome tense read. I love how you add the little bits of information at the back saying how you came up with the subject matter. Will you always do this with your forth coming books? Only I find it very informative.
Mark Edwards I somehow missed this question. This must be the slowest answer ever... But yes, I intend to include a letter from the writer in all my books.

Was "Follow You Home" inspired by true events? I'm especially curious about the disturbing governmental attempt of baby-farming, but I'm not sure what keywords I should put if I want to Google about it. I'm not even sure I want to know. By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed "Follow You Home"! Oh, one more thing: is it ever going to be made into a movie? It has the potential.

I don't have a question?,I just wanted to tell you that I have just finished Follow you home and let you know that it is one of the best books I have read for a long time.I genuinely didn't want to stop reading it and was highly disappointed when I reached the end because it was so good I didn't want it to finish.The book is so good and full of plot twists that it should come with a health warning.

Hello, just read three of your books this week! Love them. Does Alfred Hitchcock inspire your writing? I love how you utilize "law enforcement" in your books and completely makes me smile and think of Mr. Hitchcock.
Mark Edwards Hi Kathy. Sorry for the VERY slow reply. I only just discovered my questions on Goodreads. I haven't actually seen many Hitchcock films, only Psycho and The Birds. I know I should watch more of them though...

I loved Follow You Home and read your biography and understood why I did! Rosemary's Baby is my favorite novel and Stephen King, Ian McEwan, and Ira Levin are among my favorite authors. I loved that those were your influences and you match those stories with your plot twists and the way in which you introduced information in your novel. What are you writing about next?

Hi Mark - I really enjoy your books and was just wondering what software you use in the writing process?
Mark Edwards Hi Mark. Thank you. I use Scrivener for the first draft and then move it all across to Word to edit it. I also use Excel to make to-do lists.

Congrats - looks like From the Cradle is doing well in the U.S. Regarding that, there's a discussion on KBoards regarding U.S. readers leaving bad reviews for books written in British-English. http://www.kboards.com/index.php/topic,200772.0.html Did you have someone "translate" From the Cradle into American-ese or any other books first, or is it in its original form?
Mark Edwards Sorry I've only just seen this! From the Cradle is published in the US in its original, British form. So it's probably full of UK slang that readers over there don't understand!

Hi Mark I just downloaded a copy of The Magpies to listen to tomorrow. Im looking forward to it as it will be the first of your work i have read or listened to. Im an aspiring writer myself and just wondered if you could tell me whether you sent your first novel to a publisher or whether you went straight down the self publishing route? Regards Richard
Mark Edwards I'm sorry, I just saw this question! I spent years trying to get a deal, and then eventually stopped trying and self-published Killing Cupid. Then we got a deal with HarperCollins; then I self-published again; and now I'm with Amazon Publishing. So I've done a bit of everything.

What is your personal favourite out of all the books you have written?
Mark Edwards Hi Maxine - that's a difficult one! The Magpies is the book that changed my life because it sold so well and allowed me to become a full-time writer, so that one will always be special. But I think Follow You Home is a better book.

Of my co-written books, my favourite is From the Cradle.
