(view spoiler)[Hi Mr. Edwards!
I just finished Follow You Home, and I really, really loved it! I am curious however, in the epilogue.. what did Laura realize she had done with Jake's phone? Maybe, I missed this.. but I am very interested in finding out what she did with it.
Thanks!

(view spoiler)[Hi. Thank you! The answer is in the previous chapter. When Daniel clears out Laura's room he finds a phone hidden in her drawer... So we know he's found the phone. What we don't know is what happens next - and that's what I want readers to imagine.
Thanks again, Mark (hide spoiler)]

I somehow missed this question. This must be the slowest answer ever... But yes, I intend to include a letter from the writer in all my books.

(view spoiler)[Thank you! I made the baby farming up. However, everything in there about Romanian orphanages is true.

(view spoiler)[I just read The Magpies in November and I read how what happens to Lucy is explained in Because She Loves Me. Problem is I read THAT book in January. Seeing that the only thing I retain well is water I totally do not remember what happened to Lucy. I know I could just re-read the book, but having just discovered you, I have too many unread books of yours in my tbr list. Can you help this poor reader out? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Hi Julie - OK, SPOILERS ahead for anyone else who reads this. In BSLM there are three references to Lucy in news reports that the main character reads or sees on TV. She is in prison for the serial murder of residents at the care home where she worked. In the final reference in the book, it states that she is appealing against her conviction due to a DNA mix-up.
There is a further reference in Follow You Home where we find out the result of that appeal, and there will be another in my next book! Hope that helps. (hide spoiler)]

Hmmm...I don't remember the reference to Lucy or her appeal in Follow You Home. Maybe I was more involved in the rest of the story.

Thank you! Yes, I'm hoping it's a topic that most people will be able to identify with. It's going to be called The Devil's Work and I'm editing it at the moment. Hope you like it when it finally comes out :)

Thanks Nicki! Sorry for the ridiculously slow reply. I only just saw this. Really glad to hear you enjoyed FYH so much.

Hi Kathy. Sorry for the VERY slow reply. I only just discovered my questions on Goodreads. I haven't actually seen many Hitchcock films, only Psycho and The Birds. I know I should watch more of them though...

Thank you and sorry for the very slow reply! I only just found my questions on Goodreads.
I'm currently writing a book about colleagues from hell. A woman starts her dream job - but it turns into a nightmare. It will be out next September.

Thanks Katy. I haven't actually created any discussion questions for FYH. I know I probably should! Let me know if you can think of any good questions :)

Hi Mark. Thank you. I use Scrivener for the first draft and then move it all across to Word to edit it. I also use Excel to make to-do lists.

Sorry I've only just seen this! From the Cradle is published in the US in its original, British form. So it's probably full of UK slang that readers over there don't understand!

I'm sorry, I just saw this question! I spent years trying to get a deal, and then eventually stopped trying and self-published Killing Cupid. Then we got a deal with HarperCollins; then I self-published again; and now I'm with Amazon Publishing. So I've done a bit of everything.

Hi Maxine - that's a difficult one! The Magpies is the book that changed my life because it sold so well and allowed me to become a full-time writer, so that one will always be special. But I think Follow You Home is a better book.
Of my co-written books, my favourite is From the Cradle.

I loved The Magpies and Forward Slash so far the most, about to start Follow You Home. Keep up the great writing!

The Magpies was the first one I read and it was brilliant, but I absolutely LOVED (and have to agree with you mark) that Follow You Home was better.
