Do you seek out your ideas or do they sometimes just slap you upside the head?
Réal Laplaine Mostly, they hit me like a Mac truck - sometimes they sneak up on me, but I rarely ever look for ideas - seems to be a bottomless pit of them inside of me somewhere.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Réal Laplaine When it has happened I have come to realize it is because I did not establish my message for the book. Sounds too simple, but when the author's message is not clear and strong, the weave of the story can lose its connectivity. Find out what you want to say to the world, stick to that message and the plot and characters will line up to play their roles.

Réal Laplaine Total, unadulterated creativity, where you control your world and countless others - it is extravagant imaginative freedom - nothing like it.

Réal Laplaine Don't worry about being successful or making money or hitting it big - just write because you LOVE to write ... the rest is incidental.

How do you get inspired to write?
Réal Laplaine Richard Bach - author of Jonathan Livingson Seagull inspired me with a book he wrote called THE BRIDGE ACROSS FOREVER. I was hooked to writing after that.

Réal Laplaine A combination of factors: I have been watching the sprawling growth trends of China for years - and predictably, they are heading for a brick wall on their energy infrastructure.
